El guardián de la estrella eterna
2025
Wheel-thrown and hand-built glazed low-fire ceramic
5 × 5 × 10 in
Created as a funerary vessel, this sculpture transforms the body of Sansón—a family companion of seventeen years—into both guardian and container of memory. His chest becomes a living landscape: branches and leaves hold the traces of a shared life, while the constellation surrounding him places that intimate history within a larger, timeless space. By merging portraiture, memorial object, and functional urn, the work considers how physical absence can be given form without attempting to resolve it.
